Candidates are required to upload their CV detailing their work experience andÂ all qualifications held. Candidates will also be asked for a personal statement setting out how they meet the essential criteria detailed in the vacancy advert.
The first stage of assessmentÂ for applicants is to completeÂ three online tests. Successful candidates will be invited to the second stage;Â anÂ assessment and interview centre.

What is the application process?

All candidates who apply and meet the eligibility criteria will be invited to complete an online test. This test will assess numerical ability.
Candidates who successfully pass the numerical test will then be invited to complete a test to assess verbal ability.
You’ll be able to complete the tests at homeÂ or whereverÂ you have internet access.Â Both tests will be available forÂ 7 days from the day invitations are sent and must be completed in that time. wherever you have internet access. We anticipate sending these tests in April.
Situational Judgement Test
Following the online tests we will invite applicants who have successfully passedÂ both online tests to complete a situational judgement test.
As with the online tests, youâll be able to complete the test at home, or wherever you have internet access. Tests will be available forÂ 7 days from the day invitations are sent and must be completed in that time. We anticipate sending invitations in May.
Candidates who areÂ successful atÂ the online stagesÂ will be invitedÂ to an Assessment Centre in either Glasgow orÂ Edinburgh.
The Assessment Centre will include an interview and a selection of activities to measure skills and competencies. Weâll provide more information about the assessment centre to the candidates who reach this stage of the selection process.
The Assessment Centre will take place in May or June.
We aim to make offers to successful candidates in July and we would expect them to begin in their posts in late August.
